Default Tool Box Placement Ideas For 3x20 or 4x20 Cab tractors

Just came in from making this setup. I know you can mount them up front but I just didnt like the idea. I couldnt find any other place to mount one other than underneath the right door. It sits higher than the rest of the crap underneath the tractor so clearance isnt a problem. There was already two holes in the in the peice of steel under the door so i used them and some 3/8 inch peice of steel bracket i had laying around. I also, used one of my empty .50 cal ammo cans as the toolbox and painted it. Sorry about the lighting. my flash wasnt working becuase of the battery being dead. Ill have to put some sort of limiter cable inside the lid because it hits the fender if you open all the way. Pretty sturdy and i like it. Probably just throw a chain in there with some pins for the 3 point and whatever else you guys recommend. If you could, post up a picture where you mounted yours. I like to see others creativity. Tool box placement is limited on these tractors

Thats a good idea for Cab units, its not like you use the RH door all that much anyhow.

for sure. However, the door does open and the lid doesnt hit the glass. I onl open that door if im outside and i need to raise the 3 point hitch for something.

I'm the same....might as well had an opening window instead of door!

Thanks for the post. Been wanting to put a toolbox on my 3720. You saved me the time of coming up with a plan. Dropped mine off at dealer yesterday to have the bellymower installed. Can't wait to get it back.

Got my tractor back today. My belly mower is a 7 Iron. It's made by deere but little different than yours. Think mine is older model. Other than loosing clearance it is great. Very smooth and quiet.
