Just swapped out the stock blades on the MMM for a set of Gators.

I was wondering ... is position important? It is not mentioned in the manual, and there is no tab or anything else on the attachment point to index or "clock" the blades.

I put the new ones on in as similar a position to the priors as possible, but was wondering if they could be put on in any position.

Thanks
T.

If the new blades are all the same length no indexing required, if spindles are belt driven index all you want they will never stay that way.

Thanks.
They are all the same blade.

I didn't think about the belt issue ... that makes sense.
Interestingly when I flipped the deck today they were all perfectly aligned in the same direction ...

My Kubota ZD has a diagram in the manual showing the position the blades should be at when installed. I did it a few times but figure like you guys, they won't stay like that for long.

The only mower blades that need "timed" are ones with a gearbox drive instead of belts.
