I'm looking for pictures of a JD No.7 backhoe with the subframe for a 955. I'd like to see some picutures of how the backhoe and subframe attach to the tractor. They can be actual pictures or even images from manuals. If you have any, please post them up. Thanks.

These are some pictures from the No. 7 Backhoe operator manual. Not sure if they provide much of what you are looking for, but would be a start.

Thanks... That does help a lot. Could I trouble you for a few more scans showing the connection to the top link mount? Or is that not used when using the subframe?

These two pictures show a connection to the TL mount.

Hi,
I have a 955 with a #7 backhoe if you would like actual pictures. I would not recommend operating the backhoe without the top link connected. Good luck aligning the two midmount tapered pins...it takes some fine adjusting to align them for looseness!

Yes. I would love to see actual pictures.

Yes. I would love to see actual pictures.

Here's some I just took; as you can see it's currently not attached.
Basically I back up near and square to the backhoe, attach the hoses and lift the backhoe up to align with the rear mount bar. I then reverse snugly into the bar, and fiddle with the bucket height/backhoe feet height until the forward arms of the #7 align with the tapered pin holes. Insert the pins, attach the upper link bar and you are good to go.
402: looking at rear of 955, shows the two open ends where the backhoe bar slots in.
403 dark under shot showing hole where one tapered pin goes.
404 shows where top link connects, same place as the adjustable three point hitch arm.
405 Attachment area of backhoe. Top link folded up.
406 Long rear shot showing forward attachment arms.
407 Top link folded up, also: tapered pins in far footstep.

After this you should close in on specifics as to mount questions.

George

Thanks George. That tells me enough to know what to look for to make sure it's all there. I may contact you again if I need something more specific if that's OK with you.

Thanks again.

Sure. I removed my backhoe seat since I simply turn around in the 955 seat to do my backhoe work...it digs trenches faster that way. Good luck with your purchase.
