Default 5325 with 542 FEL vs 5065e with 553 FEL

With both being MFWD, is one better? I found a 2006 5325 with low hours comparing to new 5065e. The 5325 is USA made, while 5065e is India. Both have Sync shuttle

542 FEL should have a little more lift capacity. Suggest also going to tractordata.com site and do side-by-side comparison of the two. Good way to see spot the physical differences between the two.

What kind of price difference is there for a 6 year old tractor without a warranty vs new? Is the 542 loader the SL version? How many SCVs do each have?

I don't know what SL version is? I think the 5325 has 1 additional rear valve compared to 5065 (2 rear + 2 mid vs 1 rear + 2 mid). Don't have a firm asking price yet. What I am trying to sense is whether or not the USA tractor is better quality compared to India? If they were identically equipped, would you pay the same ? Some are asking that much (29500) for 5325s?

I did notice 2 things about the FELs: there is link between cylinder and bucket on 542 loader giving it better dump and rollback angles. The 553 mounting plate is wider so the horizontal distance between bolts is longer. This transfers lower shear forces into chassis.

SL stands for Self Leveling. If you have that extra link, then it is self leveling. That is a very nice option IMO. The only drawback is some loss of visibility since the loader frame is higher. The 325 is a premium model, meaning it has a few more "bells and whistles". The main difference is in the cab, but since 5325 is open station, not a huge difference there. Have not really seen any quality issues to date with India tractors. Have seen a few complaints with cold start - no intake heater is standard. A block heater is a better choice anyway, but since you are from South Carolina, cold starting isn't a big issue anyway.
