955 ROPS too low

Can anyone tell me what the height is on the tall one? I have one "off" my 955 because of a cozy cab. Plan on taking cab off and get a #7 backhoe. Would like to do any modifying needed before I bolt it back on... thanks! Bob

I have both styles out in my barn. Give me a few days to get some measurements. Headed out of town in the morning and won't be back for a couple of days.

I'm sure it won't meet factory spec but as a certified welder I feel I can get it as close as anyone can in my home "tinker shop". And my time is free to me, just like your opinion is to you.

I won't trade safety for either my pride or a few dollars.

There is a federal regulation governing ROPS height. It says, there should be 30 inches between the highest height the part of the seat you sit on can be set at, and the top of the ROPS.

If you don't have that, was it perhaps because your tractor was sold without the backhoe on it, and that is making the difference?
