4230 power steering issue
Hey guys. I have an early model 4230 that I am having a power steering issue with. This doesnt happen all the time but often enough that I need a fix. When I make a hard right turn the wheel won't turn back right away. Its a few seconds delay but long enough to make a short turn difficult. Does not happen on a hard left turn. Is this a steering valve issue? Thanks!

I think it may be a tie rod issue. The tie rods may be adjusted short on the right side and long on the left. This could cause the right steering arm to be pulled "over center" momentarly causing a steering lock until a bump or bounce helps to pop it back. I've seen this on several farm tractors we have had.
