955 ROPS
Could someone post a few close up pictures of the area where ROPS attaches to differential housing and sway bar attachment on a John deere 955. My tractor came with ROPS missing and I need to fabricate something to attach sway bars to. I would like to find a ROPS if anyone has one for sale.
I am also looking for wheels to switch to R1 tires anyone have a good source?
Thanks

Re: 955 ROPS
I should be out in the barn this afternoon... if I make it out there today, I'll snap a few pics.

Re: 955 ROPS
I was doing a little reconditioning to the tractor....belts, hoses, lights, seat etc so I changed the tires/wheels from the turf style to the bar lug style for the summer. If it would help you any I could take some more pics with a decent camera and send to you. BTW, I love my 955. I bought it new in 1995 and it has served me well. Good luck! Larry.

Re: 955 ROPS
Have you checked to see if JD might still offer the ROPS for the 955's?? If they do, I think they will sell them at cost, just so you will have a safer tractor. I remember buying one for the first 750 that I used to have, it cost me $300. CHEEP protection for what it can do for you in rollover.
Nothing could be finer than riding my JD790 in South Carolina!!
2001 John Deere 790 4x4 with Model 70 FEL, 5ft International World Agritech bush hog, 5ft Wallberg BB, 5ft Frontier disc harrow, Leinbach PHD with 9" & 12" augers, King Kutter II 60" Rototiller, Leinbach middlebuster, Leinbach #11 Field Cultivator, boom pole, custom 3pt handi-hitch, clamp on bucket forks, Pat's Easy Change.
Nothing runs like a Deere, or smells like a John....

Re: 955 ROPS
Found a used roll guard (p/n AM103728) on Ebay in good shape, don't know if it is the taller one or not but tall enough for me, got it installed fits just right.
Thanks for the pictures y'all posted for me
