I need forks and was wondering if a 3320 would handle 1500lbs? If not, what tractor should I look for? Thanks, (I am a newbe)
When I purchased my 3320 I believe the specs said it would lift 1300#. Mine has the 300cx. The 3520 or 3720 may be a better choice? Best bet would be call your local JD dealer.

I tried lifting a 1500# ballast box with my forks and couldn't get it much more than a few inched off the ground. 3720 w/ cx loader. My forks weigh maybe 500#.

I think you will be at the edge of the spec of the 300cx, but within it, so yes it should...barely. It matters how far your load is stuck out there, and of course the weight of your forks or bucket. If you go on the JD website. They have all the specs listed.
I would go for the 300cx instead of the 300x since it has more lift capacity.
