    Default 3320 Loader weight limit?

I need forks and was wondering if a 3320 would handle 1500lbs? If not, what tractor should I look for? Thanks, (I am a newbe)

I think you will be at the edge of the spec of the 300cx, but within it, so yes it should...barely. It matters how far your load is stuck out there, and of course the weight of your forks or bucket. If you go on the JD website. They have all the specs listed.
I would go for the 300cx instead of the 300x since it has more lift capacity.

When I purchased my 3320 I believe the specs said it would lift 1300#. Mine has the 300cx. The 3520 or 3720 may be a better choice? Best bet would be call your local JD dealer.

The loader lift specs are the same for 3320, 3520,and 3720. Don't forget to have plenty of rear ballast on the 3 point

I tried lifting a 1500# ballast box with my forks and couldn't get it much more than a few inched off the ground. 3720 w/ cx loader. My forks weigh maybe 500#.

Good info, So if the OP wants to actually HANDLE 1500 lbs he may want to look at a 4x20 with a 400cx loader.

It will depend on how high you want to lift and a few other factors mentioned. With my 2008 3320 O/S 300CX and Horst forks, I purchased a pallet of floor tile. There were 40 boxes @ 55# each = 2200# and this was also the weight that registered on the Fork Lift @ Home Depot when they lifted the load into my truck. The 3320 lifted the whole load - approx 1.5" - enough to remove it from the truck when I got it home. I was able to lift the whole pallet again about 1.5" in order to move it to another location.

I have also been able to lift a Cubic Yard bag of black dirt, with the forks, onto a trailer with about a 30" deck. The same type of bag, filled with heavier dirt and some rocks could not be lifted on to the trailer and some had to be removed. I have no problems lifting my Back Hoe @ 1,100# for transport and the manner it was picked up had a lot of the weight way out front.

I suspect a CX FEL would "lift" the 1,500# as long as it is relatively close to the pivot point, you don't need to lift to full height and you definitely need good ballast. If this is only an occasional need it may work, but if repetitive and you do not already have the 3320, then a 4x20 might be a better choice.

I want to thank everyone for the info. I'll be asking many more questions when I find a tractor that I can afford in the 4x20 size. God Bless.
