Traction 1026r vs 2025r vs 2032r

Thanks for the pics, Chevy. I'm also trying to decide between the 1 series and the new 2 series. Seems like there isn't really much difference between the 1025R and the 2025R, just loader capacity, and slightly larger frame. They have the same 3TNV76 Yanmar engine also. Seems pretty weird that the 1025R has a total hydraulic flow of 6.3 gals, and the 2025R has a 5.6 gals total flow. Weird, when the 2025R has a greater loader capacity.

It now seems that there is no midpoint in the 2 series. Previously, there was the 2520, which was slotted between the 2320 and the 2720, with an 80 cu. in engine. There is nothing inbetween the 2025R and the 2032R now, both in terms of price point and performance.

Kinda weird.

You are welcome.

Having owned & used all of the predecessor models. 1026R, 2320 & 2720. My 1026R does not have a loader. I really like the 1026R for mowing, because of the drive over & auto connect deck, & other small tractor tasks.

In my opinion there is not enough of an upgrade between the 2025R & 2032R to justify the cost difference. I have owned several compact tractors over the years, the worst trade I ever made was trading the 2320 for a 2720.

If you need a small tractor with lots of power, the 2032R is the way to go. If you need a small tractor to mow & do loader work, then the 1025R or 2025R will work fine. If you will need to remove the mower deck often to do other work, the 1025R is the way to go. If you do not remove the deck often, the 2025R is it.

I just bought a new 2025 2 weeks ago , I have the loader and I also 48" brush hog . I have put 15 hr's on it and so far I love it. I cut 4 acres with a few steep slopes the tires are filled with washer fluid and this tractor is very stable. The 25 Hp motor is enough for what I use it for I couldn't see paying the extra $3,500 for the 30 Hp 2032 I wanted the bigger frame and taller wheels the price difference was to much. I was able to get 0% for 60 months and $500 off for buying two implements through John Deere.

Thinking about buying the same tractor tomorrow. (2025r with H130 loader and 62D mower) if you don't mind, how much did you pay for yours? I was quoted $20,589 0% for 60 months with $500 off for the 2 implements. I also have some steep slopes and wondering if I should go with the 2032? I saw a video on you tube showing a 2025 straining up a small hill and another of a 2032 with no problem on same hill. What's your thought? Thanks for the info!

What gear were the tractors in?
My property is not level. I never had any problem going up grades with either the 2320/2025r or 2720/2032r in low range.

It was a different story when the tractors were in high range.

The 2720 would never climb a grade in high during the 2 years I owned it.

The 2320 struggled climbing grades in high when it was new. After a few hours of use, it went up grades fine in high.

My payment is $325 for 60 months that's with tax included. 130H loader and Frontier 48" cutter. That's with $500 discount and 0%.

I do all my brush hogging and other work in low range have no problem with bogging down I keep it at 3000 RPMs. I only use high range for going up and down the road.I think if I ever get another tractor I would get the 2032 not for more Hp but for the size and weight difference but more Hp wouldn't hurt either. I have 27 hours on my 2025 and have no problems or regrets very nice tractor.

I'm new to this site but I thought I'd respond. Please excuse this post, and my apologies, if this is innapproriate or violates the rules of this site.

I am a service-connected disabled veteran and live on an extremely steep lot. In late 2012 I got a 1026R to allow me to perform tasks I couldn't otherwise do. My 1026R is pretty maxed out and was delivered in Nov. 2012 and configured to accommodate my steep terrain with wheel weights and suitcase weights.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to take advantage of this fine machine and would like to sell it. My health has limited my use of this and it is taking too much space in my garage. My 1026R has only 2 hours of use and also has the 4 year JD Extended Service Plan (ESP) which includes 4 years of warranty transportation. The list price of my configuration was about $26,000. I'd be happy if I could sell this for somewhere around $17 to $18,000.

Highlights include: JD 54" Quick-Hitch Front Snow Blade w/hydraulic angling, JD 647 Rotary Tiller, JD 60D 7-Iron MMM w/ hydraulic lift & auto PTO coupler, JD 3-bag Power Flow System w/ 60" High Performance Power Flow and 5 Quik-tatch weights, JD All-Terrain 17CF Utility Cart, iMatch & AutoHitch, Engine Block Heater, Coolant Heater, Deluxe Hood Guard, 3rd Selective Control Valve Kit, Forward Lighting Kit, Rear Work Light, Warning Light Brush Guard Kit, 50LB Cast Iron Wheel Weights and 72LB Cast Iron Starter Wheel Weights. Finally, the JD 4-year Extended Service Plan is fully transferrable.

I believe this unit can handle hills safely in addition to performing other tasks. I live in NE Indiana. Please contact me if you are interested in my 1026R.

Thanks
Mike

Doesn't matter to me as I am not offended by a FEW want ads mixed in but proper forum rules would have ads for sale in the "market place". Click the forum navigation list and scroll to the bottom and click on private party ads. Good luck with the sale and thanks for your service.

Thanks for the heads-up and kind words. I hope to have something in the Private Party Ad forum shortly.

Just to fill out this picture. I replaced my VERY troublesome 1025R with a 2025R. Even the FEL controls on the 1025R were not reliable. No way would I trust it to load my pickup from the side with the FEL. Whereas, the FEL on the 2025R is the best I've ever had. It's goof proof and a good digger. Absolutely no warranty issues with the 2025R, same as the 4010 I had before it. The 4010's U joint right behind the engine disentegrated at 660 hours, probably due to the need to rev it more to avoid stalling when starting the PTO on the bush hog. I then went to the 1025R which has a very gentle PTO speedup that ALL JDs should have. The 2025R does not have this, but you can engage its PTO at idle speed without stalling.
