I have a 3720 with the joy stick control for a power angle snow plow mounted to my loader. I am loosing the hydraulic pressure on the pistons. If I manually push on either side of the plow I can get the plow to move. It seems like a valve is not holding the hydraulic fluid back. any help would be greatly appreciated.

How is it plumbed? To the 3rd SCV or the dump/curl on the loader? Do you have two single acting cylinders on the plow?

Need info to help please.

Yes we need more information and even pictures to help. Blind guess is that there is a cross over relief valve between the angle pistons which is a good idea to have but if it is blown or set for two low a pressure maybe your problem.

Here is my best shot at an explanation. In my cab I have a button that activates the 3rd function on the front of the loader which allows me to use the thumb control on the joystick for the left and right power angle of the snow plow. This function is tied into the back of the cab by two hoses that are switched from say the belly mower to the front of the loader depending on what I'm looking to do. The plow does have separate lines and has a left piston and a right piston. I believe there is an electronic solenoid on the back of the tractor that is controlling this?

Ok, so your using the factory EHV (electro hydraulic valve) 3rd SCV kit with the lines extended to the loader with the optional 3rd function kit for the 300 series loaders.

What plow is this? Does each cylinder only have one hose? Do the hoses from the plow cylinder go through any type of valve or block before connecting to the loader fittings?

This is a frontier 84" plow. each cylinder has its own hose that runs directly from the male and female quick connects at the front of the loader.

just a quick thought. at the valve on the back of the tractor, there is a "t" handle
that is used to take the pressure off the lines so you can easily disconnect the couplers.
double check that the "t" is screwed in tightly, in it's closed position....
obviously double check all couplers, at the end of the loader, at the middle
of the tractor, and the rear to make sure all are seated fully.

Good call on the pressure relief Dutch, I bet that's the problem.

Dutch445 I thank you for the help I will check that tonight when I get home.

I am almost sure that this is the problem. I have a 3520 with a hydraulic angle plow on the loader that will behave exactly as you described if the T-handle is in the "open" position. Let us know if closing this doesn't solve the problem.
