The name of the part in question is Bypass Valve Lever.
Hello, this is my first time being on here, but have researched my other tractor (Massey85) quite a bit.
My current issue is with my D140, I placed it into my garage for the winter, did the usual maintenance and then come the past week or so when I go to take it out for a spin, the tractor wont move. My first thought was to check the drive belt and it is still connected, looks fine, maybe a little loose but I adjusted a few things and still no luck. When I drove the lawn mower into the garage, before winter, everything worked fine. I was a little bit confused as to what happened between then and now.
My theory is that over the winter I slid out the transmission lockout lever to manually roll the tractor around. When the lockout lever is pulled out, I was able to roll it around fine. When the lockout lever is pushed in, I am still able to roll around fine. When I press down on the forward or reverse levers, I do not hear any mechanical parts engaging and the tractor does not move.
My theory is that perhaps my transmission's lockout lever is stuck internally and the drive system has been disabled as it is expecting me to push the lawn mower around by hand at this point in time.
I have ensured the lever is pushed in all the way, multiple times with no luck.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to try or how to fix?
Thank you
