I was mowing the yard yesterday and when I got through, I decided to play a little and see just how the Load Match works. There's a hill behind the house that is pretty steep. I'd say around a 20 degree slope.
I backed the tractor down, put it in C range, set the throttle to 1,000 RPMs, turned off Load Match, took off slow and put the peddle to the metal. It took off OK but when I mashed the forward peddle all the way down, it lugged down pretty good and black smoke rolled.
I did the exact same thing only with Load Match engaged. Absolutely no lugging or black smoke.
That convinced me that Load Match actually works and it's something worth having.
