I have had my 2210 for about 6 months and have used the
snowblower in the winter and now cut grass with a 62c. The
2210 makes a fairly loud whine from the transmission when
the snowblower or the mower is used. I would like to know if this is normal from other 2210 owners. A 445 that I owned
before the 2210 did not have this kind of noise. I have only
used the mid pto so I don't know it it makes the same noise
if the rear is selected. If the pto is turned on without anything
attached all is quiet.

I have 2210 with 62C but no snowblower. There is a loud gear whine when mowing, this comes from the mower deck gearbox - Deere makes an isolation kit for the deck to improve this.

I do not get any whine when using the rear PTO.

It also whines more in fwd, make sure your in two wheel drive for mowing if ya don't need it in fwd for hills,

No real whine unless I'm pulling a pretty good grade, but then my 62C has the isolation kit. I have noticed that the ROPS makes a nice speaker right behind your ear when you are running. It seems to applify the trans noises. I think I'm getting use to it now. I was the same, the old 445 was very quite.
