JD750 w/ 67 loader, Farmi winch, woodsrm48, Mott flail
Does anyone know if it's possible to use a JD460 front end loader on a JD1070. I know that the 430 loader is for the new 990 which is basically a 1070. However the 1070's HP and shipping weight align more with the JD4500 which takes the 460 and I would like the increase in lift capacity that this new loader offers. Rated capacity is almost twice at 3200LBS. Thanks in advance.

I know that this is a very old thread but I just purchased a used JD1070 and I am looking for a loader. I've already found lots of aftermarket options but would like to try and keep my Deere all Deere. The 1070 original equipment loader was the 80, and then in later years the 440.

I asked JD and they told me to ask the dealer. I asked two dealers and they told me to go aftermarket.

I can't believe that some dealer could not get a newer loader to fit my 1070.

Ideas welcome...

The 300CX will fit your 1070 if you choose to go with JD. The 400X is more directly comparable to the older, 460 loader but I've never seen it offered for use with the 70 series machines.

You will need the hydraulic line option for adapting the 300CX to the 1070. The JD "Build your own" configurator mentions the part number, etc. for that application.

While it may be possible to use the 460 (or even the 400X) on a 1070; the GPM and operating pressure of the hydraulic system could be a limiting factor.
