I have a 1964 JD 1010. It steers well travelling at lower speeds but at high speeds if I hit a big bump the wheel can jump sideways and make me turn without any control and while turning it will sometimes stay turned after I turn the wheel back. When I get the wheels straightened back out it doesn't seem to have any problems. The steering does have a lot of play in it and could probably be tightened up. Anyone know how to do this and have a diagram. I have the original owners manual but not many details in it. Please help. I almost ran in to my house today and my wife would have killed me.
