I noticed in one of the other post, the 2305 needed the first oil change at 200 hours, below is some copy/paste directly from the Deere site from the online manuals and it appears there must be a missprint, because the 2305 and 2320 have the same engine, where one needs an oil change at 50-hours and another at 200 hours.

Also, I noticed in my manual the tranny on the 2320 needs service every 400-hours after the initial and I assumed the added time (the 2210 manual states every 200-hours) was due to the cooler vs the small fan. However, I noticed in the 2305 manual it states every 400 hours like the 2320 and I question if that is a missprint as well.

2320 Specs shown below.

Looks like the oil change at 50 hours is a misprint online (you should change at 50 and then at 200 or yearly, whichever comes first) but the transmission oil and filter change info is correct (at 400 hours after changing at 50 hours).

From my print version (came with the tractor) John Deere 2305 manual starting on page 31 "Service Intervals":

After first 50 Hours:
Change engine oil and filter
Change transmission oil and filter
Clean transmission suction screen

Every 50 hours:
Check front axle oil level
Lubricate machine

Every 200 hours:
Change engine oil and filter
Inspect alternator belt
Check wheel bolt torque

Every 400 hours:
Change transmission oil and filter
Clean transmission suction screen
Replace fuel filter

Every 600 hours:
Check Engine low idle speed
Check air filter intake hoses and clamps
Change front axle oil
Check brake adjustment

Yearly
Change engine oil and filter if less than 200 hours of operation
Drain water from fuel tank and replace fuel filter
Check all hoses and clamps
Check battery electrolyte level

Every 1200 hours
Check engine valve clearance (see your JD dealer)

Every 2 years or 200 hours
Flush and replace factory coolant
Service fuel injection nozzles

The tag under my hood says first oil change at 50 hours then every 200

I'm confused. Therefore, I've been changing my engine oil every 50 hrs (the dealer did a full service at 50) and plan on changing my hydrostatic filter and fluid at 200 hrs, and then every 200 thereafter. After seeing all the typo's in Deere literature, you would think they would ask members of a forum such as this to proof-read this stuff for them --- obviously the techno-guru's they employ can't see beyond their own designs --- plus, I wonder if there are "language" barriers . . .

The hour service on the transmission for the 2305 may be correct, but I still question whether the 400-hour interval is correct, because the 2305 transmission wise is really no different than a 2210 and in that book it's stated to be every 200-hours.

I just noticed on the 2520 was similar to the 2305 in that the first oil change is at 200-hours.

Scott

Agree totally, but I wonder if the 400-hour service is a misprint on the tranny, because it's double the length compared to the replacement unit, 2210 (every 200-hours).
