Bucket Buddy instead of Weld on Hooks

I'm pretty sure I got mine at the Deere dealer, but any truck/tractor supply shop should have them, standard is for 3/8 chain and has the back side machined flat to facilitate welding to a flat surface.
That's one painted yellow in the second to last picture in this thread, it's welded to a piece of flat stock and that's welded to a receiver hitch insert.

I wish it was as easy as you said. I have checked, the local John Deere and New Holland dealers, ACE Hardware, TSC, Northern Tool & Equip. and the three local equipment parts stores, no luck. Most of them know exactly what I want and have seen them, but no one stocks them. I really don't want to have to but chain hooks and cut and grind them. The one like you have is made to be welded and requires much less work.
Thanks for your help.

I just welded a Standard chain hook onto mine, and its been through **** and even bent the bucket and its still welded on right where it was!
Just weld it on good, I added a piece of thicker steel and then bolted that on so I could remove it if I ever wanted. :D

If I can't find the weld on hook. That is what I'll do. Thanks all.

Bucket buddy revisited, made this extended lift pole today, I know I can't move the world with it but I figure 300-400 pounds should be OK, Just enough to be a ball buster saver. JB,

JB4310, in your last picture, were did you get those lift pin bushings for the imatch. I have the same rock rake and it is to narrow for my imatch to hook up to.

JB4310, Looking at your boom pole I see a good starting point for very stable detachable forks as well. Nice job. MikeD74T
