Depends on its condition. Could be if parade ready and engine/tractor complete rebuild.
If tired and worn out, likely not worth much. But worth is only a number that relates to the buyer and how bad the buyer wants it.

    WOW!!

One of the last farm sale I every auctioned we sold a JD 4020. It was one year old about 200 hours. The owners bought it for $8750.00 the year before the sale and we sold it for $12,000. If you remember around that time it was almost impossible to buy new farm equipment. So much of it was being sent overseas, to Russia I think.

It is hard for me to think of a 4020 as Vintage, but it is. The last memory I have of a 4020 was standing on the platform behind the steering wheel and asking for bids. Thanks for bringing back good, no great memories. That sale was for two brothers. They sold their dairy farm to a sod grower. They had great machinery. Largest farm sale I ever had. We started at 10:00 a.m. and finished a little after 5:00 p.m. I was 37 years old and sold every item myself. You don't see many auctioneers today selling everything. But I had a great set of pipes. Largest commission I every made. If you are from New Jersey or surrounding area you might remember our form. A.J. Worrell and Son Auctioneers.

I just bought a 1967 JD 4020 diesel with a loader in good shape for 8k. It will tgake about 1k to repaint and make some minor leaks go away. In 72 they had the powershift tranny and I have heard mixed reviews on them. I can tell you this, the 4020 is a beast and a legend. You will have no problem reselling if you ever need to.

the 4020 is a beast as you said, on the farm where i grew up we had a 730 gas, it would outwork any 3020 diesel around. yes such fond memories. i still to this day never want to pick up another bale of hay out of the fielo.........lol

the man said he would take 12000.00 for the 4020, ill bet he would take 11000.00
