If this is a old 3020 diesel you have a fuel pump on the right side, front of engine it has a weep hole in it you shood see some dirty oil by the pump. sometimes the weep hole gets plugged with dirt and if the pump goes bad it will put fuel in crankcase.
The fix is a new fuel pump.
Could be fuel injection pump, But I would replace the fuel pump first.
Always check oil before start up

I sure wish JD engineers hadn't numbered some of the CUT's using the same numbers as older JD tractors. It makes it very confusing.
