3020 john deere maintainance

Doing some maintenance on the 3020 john deere it is gas. Where is the fuel filter located at. I am going to replace the plugs and wires and cap and rotor does it have points. Any other recommendations I should do.

Fuel filter located right side of engine. part # AR50141 (follow fuel line from the carb).
Yes, has points.

If you go to jdparts.com, and enter model 3020, you can get to all the parts on your Deere. Makes life much easier if you have the same pics to look at and parts list as your Deere dealer when you order/buy parts.

The part number AR50141 is an incorrect number. Gasoline filter is AR10104 if tractor is equipped with a MS carb or AR13019 with a Zenith carb.

AR50141 is correct for serial numbers above 123,000. Earlier tractors did not have in-line filter. Only a strainer in the inlet fitting to carb.

Thanks for the correction as I was thinking about a 3020 '68 & below not '69 & above.
