Default cost to replace clutch on CK20-CK30 ??

Looking hard at going gear 20 or shuttle 30.
Big question to all the dealers -
What is the cost to the dealer to change the clutch, if (or ?) when that time comes ?, CK20 and CK30 ?

Thanks,
Slack

Not being a smart*** but they won't cost any more than any other brand.
The 20 will be cheaper because it is a single clutch set up.
The CK25-30-35 are all dual clutch systems.
One PTO clutch and one drive clutch and all the rest of the mechanism.
The big part of the cost is the labor to split, even on the 20.
If you don't slip them and keep them adjusted they can last a LONG LONG time

Not actually the answer to your question but certainly related. I have an LK3054 and replaced the clutch myself - parts were a bit over $500, so I imagine it's going to be real expensive once you add in the labor (there's a lot you have to take apart to get 'er dun)

Hmm,
can anyone give a price what it would cost for a dealer to change out the clutch ?
and how long would a clutch last with normal use ?

Thanks,
Slack

Hopefully one of the dealers who frequent this forum can PM you a ballpark quote.

As far as how long the clutch can last? Depends on a number of things. Land configuration, what you are using the machine for, etc. Most important would be "operator" factor. I had friends who went through clutches in their cars in a mere 25k miles and others got over 80k. Too many variables to really give you an answer. Treat it right and it'll last a long time - just like a good woman .

So many variables.....
If CK20 clutch parts will be approx 300-400.
If CK30 Clutch parts will be approx 925-1025.
Flywheel turn, between 25 and 75.
Labor-between 500 and 700 depending on how a shop does their labor rate.
Do they charge 35 per hr or 75 per hr?
Do they go by the book hrs or actual hrs?
Sometimes on a dual clutch(CK25-35 and 3054) you don't need both clutches, just the drive clutch.
If this is the case you won't need the PTO clutch or the PTO clutch cover.
This would reduce the parts cost considerably.
If it has a loader frame on it, this is something that may need to be removed bepending on which brand it is.
As kentro said-"Most important would be "operator" factor."
Tractor clutches aren't car clutches they should be pushed in or all the way released.
This will determine lifespan.

BTI,
Thanks - that gives me a ball park.
Trying to decide between HST and Shuttle (clutch)
Wish they had Shuttle with torque convertor like the case 580

ball park figure would be $15,000 to $18,000.
tractor with loader
throw out bearings, remove loader, rebuild clutches...

Go with a hydro and keep the fluids and filters changed like the sighn on the tractor says to do. (just my 2 cents worth)

a clutch will last a LONG, LONG time if you use it properly. Keep your foot off of it.
