If I am not mistaken, I believe Kioti will bring out cab versions of the newer DK40se and DK45se which are slightly different from the DK45S but are HST. I vaguely recall rumors that it would be in the next year or so. |

Other than the folks up north, I've always wondered why someone would want a cab..
For my quicky applications, it seems it would be in the way. And, I like the outdoors. Sooooo, other than the dust factor when brush hogging, (which I understand) or the cold up north, why have a cab? Just curious..

If you do any amount of spraying, you want one. |

For me a cab is invaluable because of the mowing and spraying that I do. We also have a lot of bees and wasps that I encounter when bush hogging. If you're doing any type of work in the woods then a cab is worthless.I'm not sure a 45 hyd with a cab is a great idea, I think it would be underpowered. I can tell a difference in motor speed when the AC is running,

I have 38 acres aprrox. 29 of which is presently row crop fields that I want to convert to pasture and run some cattle. The other 9 acres or so have not been touched in a long time. I want to clean those acres up for use as well. Add a long driveway to maintain, a bunch of fencing and the small moto track I want to build to my intended usage.
So to my mind that means lots of spraying, brushhogging, aerating, loader work etc. Central Texas summers are really hot and the winters while not freezing can definitely be cold enough that you would not be outside in the breeze for hours at a time if you had a choice. I will likely end up with an open station tractor as $25-27,000 is a stretch upper dollar limit for tractor/loader and I think I need 40-45HP for what I want to do. The Kioti DK45S seems to be the closest to my "ideal" with the cab, 45hp 4wd etc. It just does not have the HST. Having never driven a shuttle shift I am not sure thats a deal breaker or not. With that budget you would have no trouble getting into a DK45se HST with a canopy. It would not have a cab but would cost a bit under 20K with loader unless there have been recent price increases. Other than the open station, I don't think you would find very many differences in performance between the 45se and the 45S although they are different tractors. |
