I have the most issues with the fel so that wouldn't apply to the machine you are looking at. I already mentioned the hydraulic filters & housing, but a skid plate could eliminate that problem.
The pto on/off is a button. So when you turn it on, it is jerky. It would be nice if you could use the clutch to slowly engage it. I keep the rpm low when engaging it now. I haven't had any problems with any damage yet. Last August when it was in the 90's I was bush hogging a crp field that gets cut once a year. I use a 7' bush hog. The radiators would get plugged up every hour or 2 and the machine would start to overheat. I had to stop and blow them out. I don't know if keeping the fel low disturbs the plants and creates more flying debris than if it was raised above the plants. Jeff
