Default Great deals and depreciation

With the low prices found in some parts of the country on Kiotis and Bobcats, will resale values depreciate? My concern is that if I buy a Kioti now (at full or MSRP price)and am forced to resale it a few years down the road (hopefully not, but you never know) will all those great deals drive down resale price? Feedback from dealers is appreciated.

Until Kioti gets a reputation like Deere and Kubota resale prices are always going to be lower no matter what sales are going on.

Resale was my biggest concern 3 years ago when I bought mine, but my wife actually talked me into the Kioti because she knew I liked it better . Now that I look back I am sooooo glad I got the Kioti because it is a much heavier duty tractor than the others in the price class I was looking at and I have found myself doing things I never even considered when I was looking. I am happy I got the unit I really wanted and did not worry about resale.

Hi Kbeat,
The only time you need to worry about resale is if you have to sell it in the first year or two. This is when you are competing with all the incentives on the new tractors. All the low rate financing and rebates and free loaders make the monthly expense for a new tractor more attractive than a 1-2 and sometimes 3 year old tractor. The same is true for every brand(cars, trucks and tractors) not just Kioti.
We have a lot of customers who move up in size after a year or two and we are able to trade them out of their tractor.
Now that you have had it for 3 years you are fine, not to mention you would never part with it now anyway.

Unless you were using your tractor for your bussiness,or something like that, never could figure out why any one would worry about that kinda stuff??

I don't think about that for anything[car, tools, truck, even house].

guess some people resell way more than tractors on a regular basis[house, property, etc]

If you do your homework before buying, than your going to get what its worth[market value]IF you sell it.

I like to hang on to cars/trucks/tractors,etc,and get the good out of them, than when I do decide to upgrade or buy a new one, ain't really worried about that resale value. If I hadn't needed a tool or something, wouldn't have bought it,and why would I want to sell it?

We have sold quite a few used Kioti's for customers and have always gotten good money out of them.
If you bought a CK or DK SE last year at full price, before all of the free loader stuff etc...
Yes it would hurt you to sell RIGHT NOW, but when these fire sales that all of the various companies are having stops, then things will level back out.
