I was talking 3PH, I guess I did not clarify.

Got it. Unusual to worry about 3pt lift though as folks rarely buy a tractor on that spec. Most every tractor sold these days has more than enough 3pt lift for practical purposes. Loader lift is a point of practical differentiation though. Kubota's emphasis on light weight hurts them as the front axle limits loader capacity.

The grand l is a heavy tractor. Mine is close to 7000lbs.

Darn, I bleed blue... But wait, I had an orange tractor I liked. Crap, I had two yellow and black tractors I liked... Really, just buy what you like, folks. Your neighbor doesn't have to like your tractor, unless he's paying for it!

Maybe he includes the loader backhoe and wheel ballast.

The Grand L is significantly lighter than the DK

L4240- 4001
LA854 loader - 1300
QA bucket- 331
SSQA- 137
Liquid tire ballast- 880

6649

That weight for the tractor is for ags and I have R4's. I also have a few options that will add some weight like a tnt, 2 remotes, 3rd function, radio, work lights, rear wiper, and grille guard. I should be easily close to 6800lbs.

The DK45 cab weighs 4365 and the loader with bucket is 1082. 5447lbs
The L4240 cab weighs 4001 and the loader with bucket is 1620. 5621lbs

There is not much weight difference between the Grand L and the DK.

Something is wrong with your loader/bucket numbers. The DK loader is able to lift about 300lbs more and is therefore very unlikely to be 540lbs lighter than the LA 852. I rather doubt the 1620lb figure for the Kubota as that is almost as much as a VW old style beetle. I would imagine in reality the loaders are similar in weight fully configured so the difference in base tractor weight would make the Kioti heavier. Makes sense as Kubota has always prided itself on light weight for a given HP while Kioti has been happy to build traditionally sized/weight tractors. So, I would still say the Kioti is 300-400 lbs heavier than equivalent set on the L4240.

I got those numbers out of the loader owners manual.
The Kioti can lift more but the Kubota has more breakout force. The 854 is a really nice loader.
Here is a link I found.
