Re: Dk 40 se hst purchase
I don't think I have a photo available and the tractor is 70 miles and a boat ride away. What I was referring to is the adjustable connector between the axle and 3PT lift arm that I call the side link. It has a clevis on each end and is two parts, one fitting inside the other to connect. The parts that mate can be locked in any of about five or six adjustment holes that allow you to have the implement centered, left or right. Additionally, one of the holes is much longer than the others so when you select that hole for the pin, the implement can move left or right and is not locked in place. If I use that slot (which I do) with my bush hog, I can move the tail wheel about a foot either side of midline when it is elevated. It won't go so far as to touch the wheels but it is not locked either. I like it because when I rub up against a stump I am not twisting the 3PT as the mower can move away.

Re: Dk 40 se hst purchase
What you are talking about is an anti-sway link. Not sure how you ever thought that we were talking about a hydraulic in place of that?
Although there are some farmers that do just that. The side link or lift link of a Top & Tilt kit is what I have been talking about.

Re: Dk 40 se hst purchase
I guess the one lift arm has a flex link so it does allow some tilt floating already. With boxblade I find it a bit annoying but when plowing snow with the rear blade it keeps the blade in contact better with the driveway. I can see with a land plane how a float option is needed with hydraulic tilting, but if we adjust the flexible lift arm correctly then the manual tilt with the flexible link is okay for the homeowners here.

Re: Dk 40 se hst purchase
Wow in 6 pages of comments you guys have really gotten off topic. Jhrod first asked the price of a DK40 and then it went to rear remotes and now we`re talking about apples, bananas and potatoes.LOL You gotta laugh. Anyway I pd $23,200 for a DK40 se w/fel but that`s here in northern N.H. Ok you guys can have the thread again to talk about boats, beans, bananas.Just kidding I just think it`s funny so don`t get mad at me.

Re: Dk 40 se hst purchase
Hey pmaintman looks like we might be almost twins (soon) I just ordered a DK40SE (gear with loader and beet juice) $21,800 and I own a cub cadet 7260 . Since the hydro was quoted to me at $1,700 more, it looks like your price is pretty good.. IT was $24,275 for the DK45SE Hydro. I live in an expensive area (NW Oregon) and we usually pay more because of shipping, limited dealerships and supply/demand economics. Not to mention we border California!
