Just bought a new 2007 DK45S with 451FL

Hello All,

This is my first post and also my first new or other wise Kioti DK45S & KL451 FEL with sun shade.

Before I bought it, I picked up the Kioti Tractor Flat Rate Manual DKS/DK451/DK501, the Kioti Tractor Parts manual DK45S/451(C), the Kioti Tractor Workshop Manual for the DK45S/451, and the DK45S Owners Manual.

I also spent a lot of time reading all of the online good / bad? related Kioti posts.

After reading all of the above literature, I can say it looks like a very well built unit. I also had a chance to speak with the Kioti / Florida factory rep. He stated in the three years that He has been a field rep, He has never had to open a Kioti engine for repairs. He went on to say, one of the Florida Kioti owners has 9,000 trouble free hours on his Tractor.

With any luck, I hope the rest of our Tractors will be just as trouble free..

It should be delivered by the middle of next week.

Congratulations on the new machine.
In my opinion the DK 45s is the nicest looking unit in the Kioti lineup.
I feel they should have based their entire lineup on that design.

Congratulations on your new toy; I mean tractor. I do hope you have many trouble free hours and it does what you need. I have its smaller brother,CK30hst, and have had no problems over the past two years.
Keep us informed on how things are going and if you ever have a question, one or more of the members here probably have the answer.

Congratulations Earl, that is a very sharp tractor.. The highway dept is using them now here in the Albany Ny area, and they cover a pretty good territory. My dealer has been selling Kioti for 21 years and has customers in the mid 8000 hours as well and also has never had to open one up.. I believe he used to sell Ford before that and loves the Kioti line.. I have the Ck30hst and love it, Zero problems in over 2 years.. Good luck and enjoy your new toy.. Matt

Short of over loading the KL451 FEL with Florida sand / dirt? I don't for see any troubles.
I wanted to buy the DK45Sc (with cab) & the Kl 451 FEL but the 36 month zero interest payment was above my threshold of pain / budget. It might be just as well that I didn't go with the cab model.

It seems that the salesman stated the Kioti k45Sc is laid out for someone 5'8" tall.

Being six foot five and over two hundred and fifty pounds, It felt like (in the 2007 Kioti DK45S cab model) I was at the controls of a small car. The funny thing is the 2007 Kioti DK50S cab model the 2007 Kioti DK65S cab models sure had larger cabs... In all fairness, I'm talking about a 45 HP compact Tractor.

After spending a lot of time researching the 2006 Kioti Implement & Attachment guide. Then picking out the needed matching Kioti implements, I was told that Kioti has lost or changed its supplier. I wanted to add a Kioti BB-30-72" Box Blade & a Kioti RB4-72" rear Blade. Though they still offer the Kioti FEL and the Backhoes.

So I ordered the Southern Equipment 72" HD Rotary Cutter single rear wheel with slip clutch, Box Blade and Rear Blade.

Any input on this manufacture?

One last note, I was very pleased with Kioti Factory Customer Service Representative. (even before the purchase)

If that is true is is very odd. I imagine Kioti doesn't sell too many cab models outside the USA/Canada so you'd think they would have used a six footer at least for the ergonomics. I'd not heard of other posters with the K45sc complaining about cab size. Any other tall guys out there with comments on the K45SC?

For a big fella like rpmkaboom I'm sure the 45 cab is crowded, as he said, it's only a 45 hp tractor. I've rode around in 110 hp cab tractors and there is lots of space but the 45 cab tractor fits me well and I'm 5' 11". The big advantage is the AC in the summer and the heat in the winter but you have to buy what fits your budget.
