CK20 rims/tires on DK45S

My dealer damaged the front tires on my 2007 DK45S (long story). I sent a couple messages to Kioti, and he is now offering to replace them with the rear rims and tires from a CK20. He claims they are identical.

Does anyone know if the rear rims and tires from a CK20 are identical to those on the front of a DK45S? My first guess is that Kioti would match stronger rims and tires with a bigger tractor...

Thanks for this. I guess I should have provided more information. Before starting this thread I checked Kioti's site and saw (as you did) that the tire size was a match, but I was not able to determine if the rim (gauge of metal, bolt pattern..) and tire (number of plys, load ratings...)were the same.

I followed your PICs link (great pictures), and it appears that the rim is not the same. In fact, I doubt if it will even fit on the 45. I may drive to another dealer and ask them to lookup part numbers for me.

If your dealer is proposing to switch the tires to your original DK45s rims then if the tires are a match I don't see any problem.

The dealer is just trying to get off easy.

They are not the same wheel. My CK20 does not have any protection around the valve stem.

You want NEW tires on YOUR rims.

However the dealer does it, as long as you get the right tires.

I'd make sure he is going to be a nice warrenty on your 4WD components.

The standard KIOTI 4 year warranty would still apply to the drive train. I don't see why there would be an issue. Am I missing something?

What? You don't recognize Neil when he's in troll mode? I think he came out of hibernation when the Bobcat/Kioti deal was announced. He'll get over it.

His point regarding the warranty is moot but I agree with him if his point is that the dealer in this case is being a slime puppy. No good dealer (including Neil) would play this game with the tires. The mechanic screwed up. Period. Replace the tires with factory fresh new ones.
