Looking good. Just be careful that the bed bottom is perfectly level or you will have another premature failure as the "effulent" will build-up on one end. I am a firm beleiver that the Presby Enviro's are the best system out there for cost and size.

The plan is to level the base, set the pipes, and gently start placing the sand around the pipes. Oh what fun ! |

I'm still at a loss as to what you are calling a failure. To me a Presby system failure would be the units are holding, and not releasing, the water. If so the sand would not be saturated. I've seen my neighbor's leach field saturated on a couple of occasions. It's a rental property & the tennants didn't tell the landlord their toilet was running continuously until the field wouldn't take any more water. Both times it dried out in a few days. Are you simply flooding your system with more water than it can get rid of ? MikeD74T

The failure as it was explained to me.
The membrane surrounding the pipe and the first couple of inches of sand get plugged with a black Tar like substance. This does not allow the field to work correctly. Only recourse is to remove and replace... |

That's a heckuva' project you have going Bearhawk and mountains of materials, you aren't scrimping on it and good job! I empathize with your situation and add my best wishes that the field works as required when you're done, that's a job to be proud of.
