Default Diners along the way to Wallace?

A few years ago... maybe it was a decade ago .... I remember a show on PBS or FoodTV about diners in PA. And since I'm going to head up to Rick's on June 7th, I'd like to stop at a diner for breakfast.

I'm planning on taking 222 into Lancaster then following the directions my GPS gives me, but I have a lot of leeway in the path I want to take.

So does anyone have any recommendations for a diner in PA? I remember something about a diner or town that did potatoes. I also remember Pottstown. Maybe it was Potatotown... Regardless, I need diner recommendations.

If I'm better off taking I95 though philly to hit a decent diner, that'll work too.

Thanks all!!

I can't find the website now... but there is one that lists all the old style diners by state.

I did some more searching.. this is not the site I remember... but I think it will give you a place to start.

iLoveDiners.com - Find A Local Diner

Save your appetite for Rick's. His pig roasts are legendary!

It's going to be a 3hr drive for me, so I gotta get something in my stomach on my way up. Plus, I love the "Other White Meat" so don't worry about my appetite being spoiled.

Jim,

Thanks for the sites!! I think I'm going to stop over at the Neptune Diner in Lancaster. I've read some decent reviews online and it won't take me out of way at all. Ok, a few blocks, but that's nothing.

If my stomach allows, I'll either stop at another diner on my way home or this Chinese Buffet outside of Lancaster. When I was looking for diners using Google, this Chinese place kept coming up with decent review and I hear they have snow crabs on their buffet. I love crabs!

I love diner food too.
