2005 tractor with 250 hours. started happening about 50 hours ago. have adjusted the linkages several times. usually does it when in 4 wheel drive. have to rev up the motor and dump the clutch several times in order for it to slip out of reverse. then it will shift fine for a while, sometimes for days before it does it again. fluid level is fine and clutch is correctly adjusted. please help. thanks.

Does the shuttle lever move out of reverse but the tranny isn't shifting? Or will the shuttle lever itself not easily move out of the reverse position? If it's the latter, try pressing the brake pedal pretty stiff as you depress the clutch, then slide the shuttle lever out of the reverse position. My Kubota shuttle shift I used to have would sometimes get picky about going INTO reverse. Using the brake as I disengaged the clutch seemed to help alot.

It is getting the lever out of reverse. I will give the brake a try. Thanks
