Kioti DK35 SE HST (2011)
After several hours, and working at the absolute limit of my handyman expertise, I managed to complete a couple of modifications to improve my new DK35's functionality and reliability.

Photos of my completed work are attached.

Has anyone else had trouble with knees knocking out the turn signal/light switch assembly or inadvertently shutting down the tractor?

:)

I can't tell what's been done...

;)

I cut off the turn signal switch and ground down the key.

My knee occasionally hit the signal switch as I climbed on the tractor and once tore the whole assembly out of the socket (nothing broke). And several times my other knee hit the ignition switch inadvertently shutting down the engine.

That's a great idea!! I'm only 5'6" tall and I've had my knees knock the Key, Light swithch, and the 4x4 button off...

I think I'm going to do the key mod myself! ...

Tractor on,
Phill

I posted those as a joke to see if anyone would detect the minor work.

Here are a few more useful modifications:
- chain holders made of plastic pipe (idea taken from the Bobcat forum I believe)
- chainsaw holder (also from Bobcat forum and other postings)
- rear holder installed by my dealer. Originally intended for chains but they weren't as useful as on my old L275DT so I went to the pipe holders on the deck. They are handy for temporarily hanging small items like the clevis (shown), lynch pins while connecting equipment, etc.
- tool holders installed by my dealer. I added the simpler bracket on the loader pin-holder bolt (changed to a longer bolt) to hold longer items such as shovels.

I intend to add more as ideas come through more tractor use.

Whewww...
If I carried all that stuff with me I would never have to come home for lunch:laughing:

I snapped off the turn signal switch lever getting off my DK-35 in the first week. Also have shut off both the DK-35 and 40 numerous times due to stupid location of ig key:confused2:

Check out my thread on tool box holder mounted where you have your chain saw scabbard...

 That's a nice job of mounting that toolbox Coyote. I downloaded the pictures for future reference plus the another photo in the thread of a fender mounted box.

I sit and stare at my tractor a lot wondering where I'll put the next tool hangers or toolbox. :D I'll have a better idea what I need as I get more experience with it.

I've downloaded several other pictures from these forums for ideas and future reference. These forums are certainly a great resource.
