Kioti parts...
Hi Folks,
Where is the best (cheapest) place to order good quality parts on-line for a Mechron? I prefer factroy parts.
Thanks

Re: Kioti parts...
i have gotten them from my dealer but have not had to buy anything of consequince yet. What were you needing? Also i and my friend both noticed a bit of belt squeel this last weekend from our mechrons, and were a bit worried about that. I also saw the gator diesel for the military rated at 38 mph and it is a diesel with 2 speed much like ours. Wish mine went just a bit faster on a few occasions. I added a heater to mine last winter and it looks almost factory was about 250 bucks but went in fairly easy.

Re: Kioti parts...
Hi DrRick,
I don't need much, a couple of oil filters, bed rails for the dump bed and the rear screen for the roll cage. I can get them from my dealer for $400 or so but I was thinking about down the road, when somethig big breaks, assuming that it will.
My Mechron has proven to be very handy. I only have 13 acres and most of that is wooded but it was most helpful clearing trees after the hurricane we had last fall. We lost 4 big poplars, 1 maple and a sweet gum during that storm. The largest one went down and took the others out like dominoes. It cleared out a 200 yard path through the woods. Amazing! and t made a great shooting range. It took about 2 months to cut and split the wood but I have PLENTY of fire wood now. Too bad most of it is poplar.
The Mechron seems to be bullet proof (knock on wood). I haven't had any problems since I fixed the dragging emergency brake when I took delievery and I seem to find a use for it nearly every day. I've only put 50 hours on it in the 6 months that I've had it. I'm very happy with it.
I don't really have any opportunity to go any distance so the 25 mph that mine goes is plenty fast. I wish I had a large Nat'l Forset to run around in. That would be a blast and I could see a little more speed would be desirable there. The suspension on these things is great, lots of travel and a plush ride. As I said, Im very happy with mine.
Let me know what you find out about your belt.

Re: Kioti parts...
DrRick... Can you add some details about the heater you added? I've got 65 hrs. on my Mechron and it's running just fine. I had the dealer do an engine oil change when he fixed the differential vents. That factory mod resulted in a gear lube change. I haven't needed any other parts or service.

Re: Kioti parts...
Since you posted this question twice I'll post my response twice
I don't think you can buy Kioti parts online. Well... you can always find a dealer online and have parts shipped to you but I don't know of a "web store" where you can buy parts. If you find one let me know

Re: Kioti parts...
i bought a universal type heater and i place it under the dash with a piece of strap holding it up ( under the hood is where i supported it ) i will get some pics as soon as i get back to ranch . It really looks factory and works pretty well . I used the line to the cig lighter for power. It has a 2 speed fan and is not obtrusive to the middle seat passenger. It suggested a simple t fitting into the radiator hoses, however I placed a t at the engine bypass outlet in order to get faster warmup. The pics will explain much more clearly.
