The hour meter seems to be something the stops work on a few of my machines at home that doesn’t get fixed but at work we had a linde forklift (German) with Perkins diesel the same as some Massey Ferguson tractor about 80 hp we did 23,000 hours only engine work other normal servicing was to recon the injectors and injector pump as a precaution traded it in on a newer machine and I think it is still going but on light duties

1065 hours and counting... had a few glitches in the beginning. Seems to be running fine now.

I do wonder what kind of long term durability testing the manufacturers do on CUTs? Kioti does atleast sell the same engines that are in the tractors separately for industrial use so I imagine the motors should go for many many 1000's of hours.
My plan is to keep the tractor under cover for its whole life and just fix what breaks or wears out as it comes. Hopefully it will go 30-40 years at 100-150 hours per year. I don't really see why it wouldn't with good maintenance.

You might want to split the tractors into power categories.

*Greater than 150hp & less than 300hp-
Versatile 835 230hp 6cyl Cummins @ 13,000hrs
JD8440 215hp JD 6cyl @ 8300hrs
JD6030 212hp JD 6cyl @ 5900hrs

*Above 300hp-
Steiger CP1400 400hp Cat @ 29,000hrs
3x Acremasters 330hp V10 Mercedes @ 20,000-36,000hrs

My CK is 13 months old and I just hit 57 hours. And let me tell you, she still purrs like a kitten. :-)

My wife's grandfather just got one of his tractors back a massy ferguson1020 with 8,000. The only thing major done to it was new tires and clutch. I'm hoping that my kioti dk 40 dose make it that high with out a lot of issues.

How does one put on that many hours for a machine with only 20 HP?

As he says he babied it. They used it mostly to power there camp with a pto gen. I thinking of buying it he's think of selling it for 5,000. I would like a small tractor to do light work.

Within reason the hour meter is the last thing i look at . Mechanical condition first , Cosmetic second then hrs last . 4 of our tractors have not had a working hr meter for 10 years or more .
