I don't want to sound like a safety nut but from the picture you posted it is very dangerous to skid logs fron a 3 point impliment that is raised as shown .Trust me I was skidding logs and one caught on a stump i didn't see and in a flash i was looking at the sky. I was luckey that time.

i skid the same way at times...other times if not pressed for time i skid this way

Now that's the way my grandfather logged. Then move to tractors and rear blade and logging chains.

My family logged with a rear blade sense the late 80's on the back of the 3pt hitch. It simple way then spending 3,000 or more logging winch. Knock on wood never hit a stump have a **** chains saw to cut the stumps flush to the ground.

I don't see it a problem as long as your top link is extended enough to allow the blade to act as a wheelie bar. I use my box scraper and go up very steep hills.
