Hi new guy hear, doe's enyone know wher i can buy,beg, borrow or steal an electrical schematic for the starting circuit on a dk40, machine will not turn over,changed relays,and checked neutral switch. HELP?

My 2006 DK35 has had numerous issues with "not" starting, for various reasons. Please provide a description of what is/is not happening. Most of my non-start issues were associated with batt clamp contact to post, which gives a "clicking noise" but no roll over. I found that a glaze appearance on posts, once removed, allowed good contact and return of service. Also had a bad ground wire connection to frame, which gave me no sounds, nothing. Rarely, but have had more than one case of clicking noise and no roll over even though clamp on batt posts are good. This was found to be a "key" issue, cleaned back of ign switch and back in service. Once, was able to start tractor by jiggling key within switch until it came to life so I could drive it home and clean up properly. Hope this helps.

I do not have a neutral light, (mine is a gear shift and will start in any gear/range if clutch pushed in). I do have a safety interlock with the PTO switch, will not start if PTO in "on" position.
see if this will help you out at all.

Lots of problems with ignition switches on these, take apart and clean.

Alprice: If you still need help, what flavor of DK40 do you have (S, SE, HST, etc). Do you have the right schematic now? Like Murph said, many problems have been traced to the ignition switch. This switch can be disassembled and cleaned/lubed but don't lose any parts. At least one no-crank was traced to the safety switch on the clutch, as I recall. My advice is to use the schematic and a voltmeter to find the real problem vs just swapping suspect parts. Good luck.

What the guys already said, AND we would like to know if this started all of a sudden or has it been occurring for a while and now dead? What are you describing as the neutral safety? Located where?
Replacing relays, etc. can get expensive real quick, especially if it does nothing to solve the problem.
Check the battery posts and chassis ground carefully. Sometimes the actual ground cable fails to do it's job and needs to be replaced entirely. This is somewhat rare, but not out of the realm of possibility.
Make sure your PTO switch is NOT on. That will render the tractor to a no start condition.
Do you get a click or any sounds?
If you store it outside you should get a Kioti key switch cover, which helps but does not eliminate moisture from entering the key switch.

With the schematic i received yesterday i traced the problem to the safety switch, i have been running through the bush , and the wire going to the switch must have been pulled with a sapling or ? any way when i removed the switch today, i found the wire had been broken at the solder contact and was not visible ,but when tested with a meter the problem became apparent,glad to say all is OK now ,guess i should get out the brush-hog as soon as the snow goes (if ever) Thanks every one for the help much appreciated .
