I think I have decided to become a member of the KIOTI club. I live in SE KY and wondered if anyone out there had done any dealing with dealers in my area and would recommend them or not. I am willing to travel say 100 miles if need be to find a good dealer. Also wondered if anyone had done deals over the internet and wanted to share their opinion on that. Specifically Little Tractor and Equipment Company.

I've only got a few minutes to type before I have to go, but I cannot possibly in that time (or probably any other length) say enough good things about Little Tractor in general and James Little in specifics. Last spring I started looking for a tractor to replace my Belarus and got interested in Kiotis. I was a little unsure about going with another "off" brand, but after some research here and other places, I felt pretty comfortable. I ended up at Little Tractor, which is in the top 2 or 3 or it is the no. 1 volume dealer for Kioti tractors (OBryans in Owensboro, KY is up there too). I wish that James sold refrigerators, trucks, mattresses, anything...he's the best salesguy I have ever dealt with. Zero pressure, let's you (encourages you) to test drive and ask questions, refuted the Kubota/Kioti connection, all in all extremely knowledgable and extremely honest.
And I couldn't beat his prices anywhere for Kiotis, and they were less than comparable Kubotas by $1000s. Mahindras were pretty close, at West Paducah Equipment, but I was more comfortable with Little Tractor. He was also cheaper on equipment (canopy and 6' Howse bushhog) than I could find anywhere else, so I bought them too. I went back in the fall and traded my old JD 2010 Loader/Backhoe for a Rhino 2409 (I think) loader - James installed it and brought the tractor back to my house in a day, and he was having a very busy week that week. Just last week I bought a Kioit branded 4' finishing mower for my Yanmar. Again, I couldn't find a lower price anywhere and it was just icing on the cake that it was at Little Tractor. The mower was fully assembled, ready to go lubed and greased, and even set the right height to cut my grass (either I'm lucky or James is psychic). Like I say, I can't say enough good things about James. I know that he has recently added a couple more staff people (mechanics and part-time sales) and that they are going to be moving off of their small lot to an 8 acre lot. Well, gotta go. Can't go wrong with Little Tractor. |
