I haven't been able to find a block heater for my NX6010, I know a few on here have them installed from the dealer, in place of a frost plug. All the dealers I've talked to locally say that Kioti does not provide a block heater for the NX series, but obviously there's one out there that fits. I'm hoping someone on here that owns a new NX with a dealer installed heater could give me the dealer's contact info so I can buy one. Thanks.

Order a block heater from your dealer. It screws right in. You can look up the part number under options.

Look it up where? I've tried to order from the dealer, they say there isn't one available.

Hmm. It literally just screws right in after pounding in a sleave. My invoice says it was part number KIO-7172027 which also comes up as a Bobcat part number and my dealer charged me $150.00 for it (which is annoying now that I just looked).

I think (but don't know for certain) Kioti uses the same block heater on all their tractors.

The take away is pop out a frost plug, pound in a sleeve with some gasket forming compound (I've started to like the Toyota Form in Place Goo FIPG 00295-00103), and two wraps of teflon tape on the NPT threads and screw it in.

While you're at it, Rocky, if you have trouble getting the engine to warm up (engine regenerate too often and is in a reduced power mode too frequently), pop in the warmer thermostat that I found out works better than the stock T-stat.

Rocky did you also get the fuel heater on your NX , I'm trying to decide if I should order one , figure I'll do the block heater too. Just I case I park in the unheated portion of the shop in the winter.

Yes, I had the dealer install the fuel heater.

I got this tractor in late February and most of the subzero temperatures were over, I did start it once in single digits and it fired right up. So my goal in installing a block heater is not so much that I'm worried about hard starting as it is to warm the coolant up so the cab heats up quicker.

I was able to locate a block heater at a site sponsor Wallace Tractor.
