Is a Kioti DK45 tough enough to handle one of those small tree shears that are aftermarket attachments ? Does anyone have one and how well does it work/cost ? Could I run one off the rear remotes on my Kioti DK45 or would I need a pto hyd. pump? I have about 45 acres of pine that needs to be thinned . This looks like a great way to do it ,if they will work . Any advice ???

I have ,since this last post , made a search on tree shears and found quite a bit of infor . I would like to set one up on my FEL with some type of a protection device to keep it from falling back on the tractor . I am still concerned weather or not the DK45 is enough tractor to do the job . I won't be cutting anything over 8 " diameter .

We have mounted them on DK50's with the KL1590 Loader and they did fine. We plumb them into the rear remotes. The DK45 should be the same, as they are the same tractor only one is turbo and the 45 is not. Here is a site you may want to take a look at. Let me know if i can be anymore help. Check out the Hydra-Snip 12" Capacity.

Try this one too Allen, Hy Reach Clipper. Gives you about 6 feet extension in addition to your loader. John
