</font><font color="blue" class="small">( I finally go around to trying the suggested solutions to the 4 wheel drive engaement/disengagement. Lifted the front wheels off the ground with the FEL and PRESTO the lever was easy to pull. Thanks for the suggestions.

mine does the same thing, i'll have to give that a try.

i usually put the tractor in first gear high range and pull up on the lever while driving and letting off the accelerator

Most manuals that I have read suggest that the clutch be pushed in, the tractor stopped before going from 2WD to 4WD though. I don't think there's a problem doing that from 4 to 2, but you may break something going the other way. Safest and easiest on the tractor to just stop first. John
