Default DK40 Tachometer cable

FYI: I don't know if anyone has had their cable snap but,I just replaced mine and did a little modification which may stop it from happening again.
The cable is forced to make an impossible bend at the engine which is where mine broke. If the cable were a tad longer it wouldn't be a problem. To gain some length you can drill a new hole in the bulkhead about 6" lower which gives the cable a more direct path.By bulkhead I mean the panel that it passes through near the fuel tank(there is a grommet there).
By the way the complete inner/outer cable assy. was $8.00......gotta love those Kioti's......Mike.

Mike,
I broke the tach cable on my DK 35 a year or 2 ago in the same place ( right at the bend in the cable where it exits the motor).
If I break another cable I may try your mod.. and drill a lower hole in the firewall for the cable routing.
