Default Fair BX2200 price?

A guy I know has a BX2200 (4 years old, I believe) that he would like to sell. It has a 54" MMM, but no FEL. He has only used it to cut his grass and pull an aerator over his 1/2 acre yard, and it has a grand total of 72 hours on it. He is asking $ 6500 for it, and is firm on that price. Does this sound like a reasonable deal? I have only dealt with larger tractors, and don't have a good feel of how these small CUTs hold their value.

I would like to end up with a FEL for it if I do buy it; did / does Kubota make a quick detach FEL for it? I assume that it is pretty pricey ($2500 - $3000 ???). I would also like to trade in the 54" MMM for a 60" one, since I have about 3 1/2 acres of yard to mow.

Thanks for the comments / feedback!

I suggest that you look around for a unit that comes with the major attachments that you need. Buying a FEL and MMM separately is usually tedious and a lot more expensive.

My FEL model LA211 for the 2200 was about $2200 (installed with the new tractor). I think there are some aftermarket loaders for the 2200.

I think an FEL for the BX22 and maybe the BX23 might fit the 2200. When they went to the 24 and 2350 (hope I have this right), they changed the FEL so the valve stays with the tractor on the later models. On the 2200, the valve comes off with the FEL. I don't know if the mountings changed with the newer models.

Yes, it's quick attach. Takes less than five minutes to install/remove, if you do it on hard/level ground.

When I got mine, the 54" MMM was about $250 less than the 60". You might find someone that wants to trade MMM. I needed 54" for gate clearance.

Hope this helps.
