Hi group. Assuming you insure your tractor, who do you go through for that? Is it just something that you add to your homeowner's insurance policy and make sure that it's fully covered, or are there insurance companies that specifically insure tractors and other such equipment. I'm talking about a homeowner's tractor though, not one that is on a business such as a farm.

Thank you

It will be covered by most homeowner policies...call your insurance company to make sure. But the tractor has to stay on the property. If you take it off your property then no insurance unless you get a specific policy for your tractor. If you finance your tractor through Kubota then they also offer a policy if you need one. I don't know how good a deal it is.

If you go off your property to help a neighbor or accept money, be sure to get a separate commercial policy.

Does anyone know if a homeowners policy satisfies the requirement for insurance through KCC? My USAA policy will cover up to $94,000.00 for loss of my tractor. But will KCC buy off on this coverage??

They should accept other coverage (will likey not approve credit ap without proof of other coverage). All they care about is that they get paid if the tractor is destroyed.

NOTE: When I bought mine (3 yrs ago) the insurance offerred by Kubota ONLY paid them in the event of a loss. You will get nothing!

I was under the impression that the insurance through Kubota(equipment insurance int'l, inc.) was just available while it was financed. I received a renewal notice notifying me that my insurance will expire.

It said to please contact their office if any of the following apply.

1. You still have a loan on your equipment. (I don't)
2. Your loan is paid in full and you reside in AL,AZ,AR,CA,CO,FL,GA,ID, IL,IN,IA,KS,KY,LA,MD,MN,MS,MO,NE,NM,NC,OK,OR,PA,SC ,TN,YX,VA OR WI

I called and was able to get the insurance continued for 117.36 which is what it cost me for each of the three years before. Cheaper than my home owners ,state farm and my auto, alfa. It's a comprehensive policy with 200 dollar decuctable. There is a slight reduction in the total loss amount for depreciation.

Covered for loss from fire, lightning, windstorm, hail explosion, aircraft, vehicles, smoke, and collision with another object. Theft (excluding mysterious disapperance) vandalism and malicious mischief.
