How does this pricing sound?

L3240 HST R4's 724 skid steer quick connect 72" bucket $20,900

OR

L3940 HST R4's 724 skid steer quick connect 72" bucket $22,900

Pretty sure they are left over 07's.

Going to add a BH90 for $7,900

Whatcha all think?

My full kit (see my signature) was only $170 more than your quote and that includes the Rhino 72" Box Blade and Bradco 48" Pallet Fork. So unless you are getting a huge bucket on the BH90, I'd shop around a little :)

FWIW a 66 HD (round back) bucket with cutting edge costs more than a standard 72" (square back) bucket.

I agree- shop around.

I purchased an 07 4240HST, 854 loader w/ QA in November for 23,300.
Thats with R1's and a toothbar. The price was with R4's and no toothbar but
I changed my mind at the last minute and went with R1's thus the toothbar
and some hooks welded onto the bucket.
I wanted to get R4s but I didnt like the ones that come on the 3940s and up.
The ones on the 3240 and 3540 look like they would have more traction, IMO.

Thanks for the prices guys. Talon I did see yours posted on here and actually had it printed out to compare to. I do think there is some wiggle left in the price:D

I just got a quote yesterday for the following: L3240 GST, R4 tires, Land Pride 1100 rotary cutter, box blade, 724 FEL, aluminum canopy, and quick connect 3-pt attachment for box blade and rotary cutter. $22,350

After I wrote my last reply, I got a second email quote from another dealer as follows:

L3240 HST w/R4 tires -- $16,668.00
LA 724 72" bucket with skid steer quick attach -- $4,693.00
Bush Hog SQ160 medium duty 5' rotary cutter -- $1,253.00
Armstrong BB05 5' box blade -- $465.00
Kubota standard canopy -- $374.00
Delivery charge -- $100

which, if I added correctly, comes to 23,553.00 (which in this case is higher than a comparable John Deere 3320 similarly equipped)

Here's a copy of my invoice - hope it doesn't violate any rules  .

Loaded R4's, LA 724 loader w/QA and 72" bucket w/hooks, block heater.

Barlow equipment was cheaper by a few hundred bucks even with delivery and tax, but I kept it local because my dealer is such a good guy. :)

jarbill:

Something to note is that neither the rotary cutter nor the box blade you have listed will cover the tracks of a L3240 with R4s. You will need a 6ft width to get this. That is what I woud do if I were you.

I just rec'd a quote today for an '08 L3240 HST, quick attach 724 FEL, R4 tires for $20500. Cincinnati, Ohio area.

In the fall of 2007, I rec'd a $19,400 & $19,600 quote for the same set up but w/ loaded tires. These were from the Athens & Marietta Ohio areas on a 2007 model.

Hope this helps?!

Good point! I traded my original 66" BoxBlade for a 72" for this exact reason. It is much easier to work the edge of a road with a BB that will at least cover the tracks of the tractor. FWIW a 72" BB can be 'hung' out a little past the tires on one side of an L3240 by adjusting lengths of the 3 point arm bracing. This allows you to pull wayward material back onto the road without running over it first :)
