Default Need advice on this kubota please

The local tractor place has this for sale asking $12,450
Everything works fine, has 955 hours on it. What do you all think, it is also 4x4. I am new to tractors so any advice is greatly appreciated. Do you see anything wrong with this besides the hole in the light up front.

does not come with the auger in the pic.

Looks like an old (not last generation, but the generation before that) L series.

Dunno. No BH...kept outside...someone's been welding on the ROPS...step on the driver's side is bent up (indicates some type of abuse...how do you even do that?)...don't know if the Woods FEL is a negative (don't think its a positive), but that bucket has seen its share of use.

Without knowing what you're doing with it, I would think there'd be some nicer, slightly smaller tractors out there for a similar price or just a smidgen more.

Seems like a lot of change for a well used tractor. Perhaps even an old rental. I don't know anything about used L pricing, but I'd keep looking.

I wouldn't touch it at that price. It would help to know what model it is but it looks comparable to a new L3400 or L2800. I suspect you could get a new L2800 with a loader for close to that price and for just a few grand more you could get a gear drive L3400 with loader.

Just eyeballing a tractor like that and just guessing at what the tractor market is like, I wouldn't pay more than $8k for it.

Just for comparison, there is an '04 L2800 4wd w/loader and only 160 hours as a 'buy it now' item on oBoy for $12,500. Will probably sell for less. And it looks very nice.

Sorry forgot to mention this is a Kubota L3300, I went ahead and picked this tractor up today. Traded in my old david brown that had too many problems and I couldnt find parts ANYWHERE. I have been searching for a tractor since last November. This is one of the cheapest L3300 I have found with the hours. I live in a part of Oklahoma, where used Kubotas are like a goose that lays a golden egg, noone will sell them. I even compared other tractors but just couldnt get a good price for nothing. There is plenty of Kubota dealers around to order parts and to service them as well.

mrfrosty, everyone may not agree on what one is worth, but as you said, good used ones are hard to find, and I'll bet you enjoy that tractor.

Congrats on your tool!
We are always here for questions.

My I suggest that if you have no proof that it has had it's fluids change... do it now !

Give it a name and I hope the two of you post regularly!

Enjoy and stay safe!

Thanks for the positive feedback. I agree with you on the fluids. The dealer assured they changed everything, but I will double check everything just so that all levels are fine.

This tractor looks pretty good to me. The bucket shows a little surface rust but it is straight - the rubber is good, the ROPS has been shortened so it fits through a garage door (no big deal - the ROPS is made of low-alloy steel tubing - quite weldable). The step and headlight damage are minor. Around my area, this much tractor would bring $12.5k easily - Kubota's don't depreciate much unless they are really beat. They tend to change hands for almost as much as they sold for new. I think you did well - I'm sure you love it compared to the David Brown. Take care, Dick B
