Default New Grand L40 L3240HSTC

Well, folks, after lurking for ages and learning tons from posts by Talon Dancer and countless others, I finally took delivery of an L3240HSTC with CAB and LA724 FEL, Snowblower, Bush Hog Rotary Cutter, Box Blade and Weight Box.

I also have the 3rd function for use in a 4n1 bucket which will be delivered later as well as 2 rear remotes for controlling the snowblower's chute rotation and angle. These could also be used for top and tilt in the future.

Only have 10 hours on the beast so far and I haven't done too much damage (knocked the railing apart at the cottage accidentally and took 3 hours gluing it back together :-) Got to get used to the FEL's reach. Filled some ditches, did some grading, moved soil around, all seemed natural, especially because I had read so much on these forums in advance about the HST Plus features and how to use them. But I am definitely a newbie.

Thanks to all

Man thats sweet congratulation's I am getting ready to get either a 3240 or 4240 my brain says 4240 my wallet says 3240. I was hoping you would be able to supply some pics of the factory rear remotes and 3rd function valve/joystick. I am especially interested in where the controls for the rear remotes are located. I am wanting a nice clean install so I was thinking getting them right from the factory but I cant find any pictures of factory installed remotes only DIY installs.PLEASE

Nice! It's amazing how much larger the tractor looks with a cab and R4's...I love my R1's, but they do look kind of puny...

Enjoy!

afish:

Here are a couple of shots of the joystick with 3rd function. Also, in one of the shots, you can see the two rear remote levers.

You are the MAN thank you. I have been trying to get a picture of factory installed rear remotes for a couple weeks now. I even emailed Kubota but they where no help. I saw those 3 slots and thought they might go there but wasnt positive. I assume the buttons on the side work the 3rd function but what does that other toggle do lower on the handle? Thank you again for taking the time to post those.

Afish:

The lower button is used to turn the 3rd function on or off, ie active/inactive. The upper buttons work the third function as you surmised, provided that the lower button has been turned on.
