Default Need an idea on price for Kubota L4850

I have a 96' Kubota L4850 with 1,126 hours. Also has a 7' filet mower and plow attachment. Great condition, wife just used it for mowing pastures. Can't find information on the L4850 any longer and have no idea of worth.

I usually chime in if the subject is L3 Kubotas. I have a L5450 of about the same age. The L4850 is a fine machine with an excellent reputation for above-average strength, weight, and reliability. One of our Super TBN Members _RaT_, has used a L4850 in California for years. I've always thought the L3's are among Kubota's best work. If you can tell us more about how it is optioned we'll be able to give a better estimate of its value. Stuff like 2wd or 4wd, does it have the "Ever Clutch", manual or hydraulic shuttle, R1 or R4 rubber, if it has a loader which model? Any oil leaks? And of course pictures are always good. There should be plenty of interest if you decide to sell it. Where are you located? Take care, Dick B

Thanks for the reply Dick - we are located in Jordan, Minnesota - just south of the Twin Cities. I do have pic's but have been unable to attach. Kubota is a 4 wheel drive - no loader, no oil leaks. Do you happen to have an email that I might send some pic's to you. Seriously, can't seem to get information or price range for this machine. Tractor has been great!! Runs like a million bucks - never had any problems. Local dealer seems to think there is a high demand for this tractor and was giving us a range around $20,000. Seems quite high - but, not sure of current prices.

Hi - sent you a private message with an email address. I agree $20k sounds high. A pristine machine with a loader might be in the high teens - maybe low-to-mid teens without one? A new loader with 2,000lb rating and a proper regenerative valve like the original LA-950 would cost a lot now.

I resized the pictures Tractorplus forwarded - here they are.

This a fine looking L4850 - not showroom but certainly nice for its age. It has hyd shuttle and wet clutch - but without a loader and being on turf rubber, it's a mowin' machine as-is - but a classy one.
