thanks good explanation. Makes me a a bit more comfortable with the standard duty cutter. Definitely wouldn't be going after 3 inch wood, but was concerned about how much inch plus abuse and the occasional rock they would stand up to. I take care of my equipment, but I also want to get into corners of my property that are a bit wild. Hate to put a hole through the deck, but also hate to overbuy and also carry around a lot of unneeded weight.
