Default Recommendation-Barlow Equipment

I just took delivery of a loader for my BX1500 from Brady Barlow at Barlow equipment. The buying process was painless and the price excellent. When I received the unit, there were a couple issues with one missing item and a damaged contol valve. (keep in mind that this unit was a New old stock item that has been in inventory for quite a while). Both items were in original sealed packaging that was not damaged externally, so Brady would have had no way of knowing of the issues.

After contacting Brady, he immediately made it right with apoligies and no excuses. Its clear to me that other dealers could learn from his professionalism and customer service.

I would highly recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a honest person with a fair deal. Buy in confidence.

Barlow Equipment = A first class operation.

I bought my L3240 from Brady and he gave me one He!! of a deal.
They also have excellent customer service. I'd buy again from Barlow equipment without even blinking

Barlow's offered me a much better price on my L3240 package, but this being
my 1st tractor I opted to go with a local dealer. Glad to see Barlow's is a
top rated dealer, I will consider them in the future.

I have recommended them before and I will recommend now. I even had a small issue that they took care of far better than my local dealer would have.
First Class. By the way they about 1200 miles from where I live.
Hey Brady!

What were your shipping charges like to the Northeast?

I did not yet ask them for a quote but I did ask Carver Equipment and they did not want to ship to NY due to the excessive shipping costs now. I was told to buy locally at this time.

What was the outcome of taxes? Barlow informed me that they would not charge nor collect taxes on delivery but I am not sure that you will not get hit with a tax bill if they tracked the ship to address...like at a weigh station along the route.

I asked Barlow for a full quote so I guess I will see if they break it down...other option is two make two trips to New Hampshire and buy there..using a po address.

Thanks for everyone's business and all the kind words.

As for the tax question, if you purchase outside of your home state, most states ask that you report your purchase to your home state and pay their 'usage tax' which is typically equal to their sales tax. This is pretty much uniform across the country. gp1200x, I hope this answers your question.

I would like to add my experience with Brady and Barlow Equipment. I bought a used BX1500 from them last year and everything was just as Brady said it would be. The machine was clean and very well prepped. They did a service on it and delivered it and sent me extras that I wanted via Fed Ex in a tiimely manner. Brady was and still is very helpful to me with any questions I have. I am impressed with the service after the sale even though I am about 150 miles away! I highly recommend them and will do business with them again.
